This release contains all known music by the classic Cannonball Adderley Quintet with Bobby Timmons on iano at the Jazz Workshop in San Francisco in 1959.
This performance, first issued as The Cannonball Adderley Quintet in San Francisco (Riverside
RLP12-311), was recorded with the saxophonist’s working unit, and is considered among the most memorable live jazz albums 2-CD set ever made.
