“ If Al Haig denied himself the high passion of Bud Powell’s music, he has still a force of eloquence and intensity, and his refined touch lent him a striking individuality within his milieu.
This album, originally released on Esoteric, is a masterpiece that can stand with any of the work of Powell or Monk.
