Fresh Sound is a jazz label specializing in American jazz music. Fresh Sound was founded in 1983 as a reissue label for 1950s jazz and they expanded into issuing releases by newer musicians in the 1990s. Its numerous re-editions, compilations and unreleased recordings are shared between LP and CD formats. You will find music from the legendary creators of Be-Bop of the 1940s to the biggest names in West Coast Jazz. From Mainstream, Cool, Hard-Bop, through to the revered figures of jazz from Los Angeles and the young talent of New York's current scene.
