This release presents the most important among the very few recordings trumpeter Clark Terry and reedman Bob Wilber made together. Apart from the sessions compiled here, they would only collaborate on a Sonny Truitt Octet “Music Minus One” LP (an album planned for jazz students in which blank spaces were left for some instrumental solos), and on a couple of big band LPs in the mid-1990s.

This set consists of the complete 1960 Bob Wilber LP Blowin’ the Blues Away (Classic Jazz CJ-9), plus a couple of Billy Strayhorn small group dates featuring both horns.
