Writing about Oscar Peterson comes easily because anyone that likes Jazz can't but be enthusiastic about him and his playing. All compositions are made by Oscar Peterson, of course, leading on piano; Barney Kessel on guitar and Ray Brown on bass. Norman Granz thought it was a good idea to have Oscar do a series of albums featuring some of the best tunes written by our best songwriters. In this album, Oscar plays Cole Porter. Basically, this is just about the best of Peterson, playing just about the best tunes of just about the best songwriter.
