This collector’s release contains Bobby Bland’s magnificent second album for Duke Records, Here’s the Man… (1962). It has the same intensity and variety of his breakthrough debut LP, Two Steps from the Blues. Here Bland displays his vocal power on fabulous songs using his volcanic, guttural delivery to easily work through Joe Scott’s galvanizing arrangements. In addition, we have included 10 bonus tracks (gathering a variety of those great, hard to find sides issued by Duke between 1959 and 1962), which together with this remastered gem constitute the definitive edition of this southern giant.
