Sonny Stitt

This release presnets the complete original album Sonny Stitt Sits in with the Oscar Peterson Trio (Verve MGVS6108), the last of the very few preserved collaborations between the two leaders. As a bonus, the three quintet songs (with Herb Ellis on guitar) recorded by the saxophonist and pianist in the studio in 1957. As a further bonus, a complete live performance featuring them with Roy Eldridge on trumpet, which was recorded at the 1957 Newport Jazz Festival.
