This CD presents Frank Sinatra's first 10" albums for the Capitol Label, "Songs For Young Lovers" and "Swing Easy", both of which are included here in their enterity. The albums mark the beginnig of his illustrious collaboration with arranger and conductor Nelson Riddle, as well as a turning point in Sinatra's career (whose popularity had fallen to an all time low by early 1953). Although his comeback was assured, Sinatra's failing relationship with Ava Gardner led to his suicide attempt at songwriter Jimmy Van Heusen's house merely weeks after the recording of "Songs For Young Lovers". In addition to the two 10" albums, this release also contains 12 bonus tracks culled from this prolific period in Sinatra's career.
