This set presents four complete LPs by celebrated swing trumpeter Jonah Jones (1909-2000) on which he performs classic Broadway and movie themes. The albums are "Swingin’ on Broadway" (Capitol T-963), "Broadway Swings Again" (Capitol ST-1641), "Swingin’ at the Cinema" (Capitol ST-1083), and "Greatest Instrumental Hits Styled by Jonah Jones" (Capitol ST-1557). The thematic LP "I Dig Chicks" (Capitol ST-1193), on which every song refers to a woman’s name, has been included here as a bonus in its entirety as well as three additional movie/theatre tunes from a different session.
