This release contains the complete studio recordings made by the great Frank Sinatra with the brilliant orchestra of trombonist Tommy Dorsey. Taped at the beginning of Sinatra’s legendary career, all of this material was made for RCA Victor between 1940 and 1942. These recordings include an array of great soloists, such as trumpeter Bunny Berigan, tenor saxophonist Babe Russin, and drummer Buddy Rich, along with the vocal group The Pied Pipers, who back Sinatra’s lead vocals on various tracks. To the original master takes issued on 78 rpm, this collection adds 14 rare sides and alternate takes appearing here for the first time ever on a single set, and which complete Sinatra’s studio output with the Dorsey band.
