This release presents a complete never before heard live performance by baritone saxophonist Pepper Adams. It his only existing recording with trio of the now octogenarian pianist Lee Shaw (whose husband Stan is on drums). More interestingly, the Albany set includes Adams’ only extant versions (both live or studio) of “It Could Happen to You”, “Scrapple from the Apple”, “In a Sentimental Mood”, “Secret Love “, and “Wrap Your Troubles in Dreams”, as well as his only quartet version of “Alone Together”.
