This CD presents the only two recordings by the Kenny Dorham Quintet featuring Jackie McLean. However, Jazz fans sould be aware there was a third recording date in which both of them joined forces. It produces the LP Hipnosis, recorded in New York on June 14, 1962. That was, however, a Jackie McLean and not a Kenny Dorham Quintet date.
