This release includes the outstanding and long unavailable albums reuniting guitarist Herb Ellis with numerous jazz horn greats. On "Nothing But the Blues" he is joined by Stan Getz and Roy Eldridge, while on "Meets Jimmy Giuffre", the latter plays tenor and baritone sax, and is also the arranger on the whole album.
