GATEFOLD EDITION

On his first limited edition LP release, pianist, composer and band leader Arturo O'Farrill presents meticulously remastered-for-vinyl versions of two of his most significant large scale jazz orchestra compositions of this past decade: the "Afro Latin Jazz Suite" and "Four Questions". Both were awarded with GRAMMY wins in 2015 and 2021, respectively. The LP's title "Centennial Suites" refers to the 100th anniversary of O'Farrill's father's birth, the iconic Arturo "Chico" O'Farrill (1921-2001). His ground-breaking large orchestral Latin Jazz compositions profoundly changed 20th century music history, and deeply influenced the musical trajectory of his son Arturo. - Kabir Sehgal, producer
