Lol Coxhill

Lol Coxhill in two different settings -- both of them great! Half the set features Coxhill working with Simon Emmerson on electronics -- processing Lol's work on soprano sax, and creating even more amazing sounds than came from the horn on its own!

The processing makes the music feel a bit like some of Coxhill's work with Phil Miller -- but even sharper overall, given the more improvised feel of the performance. The second half of the set has a bit more gentle soul -- as Veryan Weston plays piano alongside Coxhill's soprano -- pretty free overall, but with an acoustic sensibility that balances out the electronics on the other half. CD features a huge amount of bonus tracks from both performances -- greatly expanding the original album!
