Both Sides of Midnight puts back on the market the long unavailable first half of a long recording evening which took place on July 20, 1967 at the celebrated jazzhus Montmartre, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Long Tall Dexter is backed on this occassion by Kenny Drew on piano, the Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen on bass, and Albert "Tootie" Heath on drums. Among the four extended selections, are wonderful readings of two Sonny Rollins' compositions: "Doxy" and "Sonnymoon for You". You can never get too much Dexter!
