This edition presents, for the first time on a single CD, all known instrumental recordings by the legendary Shelly Manne Quintet made at Shelly's Manne-Hole on March 3-5, 1961. These recordings were originally issued on two separetes LPs (Contemporary M3593 and M3594). The group featured such stars as Conte Candoli on trumpet, Richie Kamuca on tenor sax, Rus Freeman on piano, and of course, Shelly Manne himself on drums.
