During the early and mid-years of the twentieth century it was common for blues players to team up to enhance their appeal. Such liaisons were usually temporary and often unremarkable, but some like the pairing of Lightnin’ Hopkins and Sonny Terry were extremely worthwhile as this fine album, Last Night Blues, attests.
