Pianist Gadi Lehavi, bassist Tal Mashiach and drummer Ofri Nehemya use the initials of their first names for the name of the band and their talents for the music on this collection of mostly team-bred work. The album is a true team effort, with each member serving the others, whether they’re going off to the races on the rapid run of the playful “No Vowels Allowed” or getting lyrical on longing pieces such as “A Man Within Himself” and the romantic “One For G”. There’s some nice danceable pulses, with Mashiach being the chosen one to create a rich pulse on “Like Water” and Nehemya digging a deep groove on “Abutbul’s Market”. Lehavi floats over the brushes on “Vv & Zaca” and adds framework to Mashiach’s solo work on “A Moment Before”. The music works well within and without. -  George W. Harris (Jazz Weekly)
