This CD reunites the only two discs recorded by Frances Faye in the mid-fifties accompanied by an orchestra conducted by the imaginative and talented arranger Russell Garcia, and featuring Maynard Ferguson, Don Fagerquist, Herbie Harper, Frank Rosolino, Milt Bernhart, Gerald Wiggins, Howard Roberts, Red Mitchell, Mel Lewis and Chico Hamilton.

All tracks recorded in 1955 and 1957.

Faye, one of the most durable and beloved performers in the history of night clubs and records, earned a reputation as a social revolutionary because she did not shy away from being publicly known as bisexual at a time when few other performers dared to do the same. The program in this disc covers a wide and audacious musical territory that included hard swingers, mellow ballads, novelties, and folk songs such as "Frankie and Johnny", "Greensleeves", "I've Got You Under My Skin", "Love For Sale", "My Funny Valentine" and others.
