Six time Grammy nominee Gerald Wilson blends distinctive West Coast flavor with New York spice on his remarkable new release, "In My Time." This collection of ten new recordings includes a brilliant, never recorded, three-part original composition commissioned in 2005. "In My Time" features many of the stellar musicians from Wilson's Grammy-nominated "New York, New Sound" including Jon Faddis, Sean Jones, Renee Rosnes and Jimmy Owens. Joining this seasoned ensemble are Ron Blake, Jeremy Pelt and Steve Wilson. "In My Time" also features Russell Malone in a dynamic rhythm section anchored by bassist Peter Washington and Lewis Nash. Gerald Wilson - preeminent arranger, conductor, composer - is truly one of jazz's greatest statesmen. In 1996, Wilson received the rare honor of having his life's work archived by the Library of Congress. starting from the heyday of jazz in the '30s and '40s to today.
