Kenny Wheeler

This is an intimate trio recording by the British trumpeter / composer Kenny Wheeler with his lifelong musical partner British pianist John Taylor and American bassist Steve Swallow (who plays electric bass). The three veterans play nine original compositions, all by Wheeler (one of which is repeated twice in duo and trio versions). The music was exquisitely recorded at the legendary Bauer Studio in Ludwigsburg (Germany) in 2006 but released only five years later.
