Sergio Mendes

This CD contains Sergio Mendes’ complete album Bossa Nova York (also issued under the title The Swinger from Rio). It was the pianist’s first LP after moving to the United States in early 60's and features Mendes’ trio, plus three oustanding jazz soloist and the one-and-only Antonio Carlos Jobim!. As a bonus, this release includes The Sound Of Ipanema LP in its entirety, featuring Mendes in collaboration with also saxophonist Paul Winter and bossa nova giant Carlos Lyra!
