Art Blakey

This release contains two complete original albums by Art Blakey and the Jazzmessengers: Caravan (Riverside RM438) and Buhaina’s Delight (Blue Note BST84104). On both LPs the group is composed of Blakey, the leader, on drums, with Freddie Hubbard on trumpet, Curtis Fuller on trombone, Wayne Shorter on tenor sax, and Cedar Walton on piano. The bass chair is devided between Reggie Workman (on the former LP) and Jymie Merritt (on the latter one)
