INCLUDES 1 BONUS TRACK

This release presents two complete Grant Green LPs in their entirety: Goin’ West (Blue Note BST84071), which is dedicated to country & western songs, and Feelin’ the Spirit (Blue Note BST84071), a collection of old spirituals. Both albums were taped in a small group format with Herbie Hancock on piano, and Billy Higgins on drums. The formed record features Garvin Masseaux on tambourine, while the latter was cut in a quartet setting with Reggie Workman on bass. Green’s 1961 quartet version of the Gospel-related “Shadrack” has been added here as a bonus.
