This release presents Bill Evans’ complete studio trio albums released from 1956 to 1962. Among them are Evan’s debut album as a leader, "New Jazz Conceptions", recorded in 1956, and all of his consecutive studio trio LPs through "Empathy", recorded in 1962. Including in this set are the full contents of the original LPs "New Jazz Conceptions" (Riverside RLP 12-223), "Everybody Digs Bill Evans" (Riverside RLP1129), "Portrait in Jazz" (Riverside RLP1162), "Explorations" (Riverside RLP9351) [the latter two featuring the amazing Scott LaFaro], "Moonbeams" (Riverside RLP9428), "How My Heart Sings!" (Riverside RLP9473), and "Empathy" (Verve LPV6-8497).
