Sal Nistico

Between 1965 and 1984 - almost during 20 years - regular jazz concerts took place at the Zurich radio station under the title ‚Jazz Live'. A ‚house trio' under the guidance of pianist Klaus Koenig - with changing bassists and drummers over the years - welcomed well known musicians to perform a one hour live show at the radio studio. The show was appreciated by a wide audience even outside of jazz and had a kind of cult' status then.
These recordings are also made by Swiss radio, which is the reason that TCB decided to incorporate these CDs in the ‚Swiss Radio Days Jazz Series'. The first CD now presents the two giants Sal Nistico and Tony Scott, who were guests at the studio on two different dates back in 1977.
