This release contains all known recordings from Benny Goodman’s successful one-week presentation at the 1958 Brussels World Fair. It is presented here for the first time ever on a single set, and includes the original two-volume album Benny in Brussels (Columbia C2L 16, first issued on two separate LPs, CL1247 and CL1248) as well as all further material from that week (which has been previously issued on a variety of different sources). Besides Goodman’s brilliant playing, highlights include the presence of such stars as Jimmy Rushing, Zoot Sims, Taft Jordan and pianist Roland Hanna (who was still unknown at the time).
