This release contains the complete original album "Hometown, My Town" (Columbia CS8107). Burns and Bennett had recorded a previous LP together, My Heart Sings (1961). After the sessions included on this LP, Bennett and Burns would collaborate again on the following LPs: This Is All I Ask (1963), A Time for Love (1966), For Once in My Life (1967), and Love Story (1971). A final reunion would take place in 1999 when they taped a number of songs together at The Hit Factory, in New York.
