The great Jimmy Smith and guitar giant Kenny Burrell collaborated on dozens of projects over the course of their extended careers. This 2-CD edition compiles –for the first time on a single set– all of their wonderful trio recordings taped in the late 1950s, which were originally issued on a variety of different albums.

The combination of organ, guitar and drums created a truly unique sound, and the brilliance of Smith and Burrell, plus that of drummers Art Blakey, Philly Joe Jones, and Donald Bailey, make this a truly essential collection.
