B.B.’s technique is deceptively complex; featuring delicate filigrees of single string runs punctuated by loud chords, subtle vibratos, and bent notes. Rock guitar technique is to a large degree derived from King’s playing. This quintessential collector’s editionincludes two of his finest albums: The Blues (1958) and Blues in My Heart (1962), which were both originallyreleased by the Crown label at the onset of King’s career. Both of these outstanding albums have been remastered and packaged together on this very special release, which also includes 4 bonus tracks from the same period. This music contains many of B.B. King’s highlights during his fruitful stretch with Crown Records. These recordings are the building blocks of B.B. King’s legendary musical legacy.
