Presented here are the complete extraordinary recordings made by Sidney Bechet with renowned French pianist Martial Solal. All of these tracks, originally issued on the album "Sidney Bechet-Martial Solal" (Swing LDM-30065), were recorded in a quartet setting, with accompaniment by the great drummer Kenny Clarke on the second session. Another complete LP by Bechet, "Bechet Souvenirs" (Vogue LD-025), has been added here as a bonus.
