FOR THE FIRST TIME COMPLETE AND ON A SINGLE CD

Presented here, for the first time on a single CD, is all of the known music from Buddy Rich's professionally recorded May 1974 engagement at Buddy's Place, in New York. Buddy's Place was the first of two jazz clubs owned by Rich, who performed there with an amazing septet featuring such names as Sal Nistico, Sonny Fortune, kenny Barron, and, of course, Buddy himself. All tunes appear here in unedited form (some had never been shortened on previous editions), among them three which had never been previously released on CD. This was the only recording ever made by this formation.
