Joshua Redman

For Nonesuch Records the new album entitled Still Dreaming by saxophonist and composer Joshua Redman, accompanied by Ron Miles on the trumpet, Scott Colley on the double bass and Brian Blade on drums. Still Dreaming is an album that draws inspiration from the band Old and New Dreams which was part of Joshua's father, Dewey Redman, between 1976 and 1987. In addition to Redman senior, the band Old and New Dreams saw the participation of musicians of great value, all historic collaborators of Ornette Coleman, as the trumpeter Don Cherry, the double bass player Charlie Haden and the drummer Ed Blackwell. Still Dreaming contains six new songs written by the new band, one written by Haden and another by Coleman.
