This essential release includes two of Nelson’s most underrated albums from the peak of his career: "Album Seven by Rick" (1961), and "It’s Up to You" (1962). Originally issued by the Imperial label, both have been remastered and packaged together in this very special collector’s edition, which also includes 6 bonus tracks from the same period.

“Summertime,” featuring a fabulous guitar riff by James Burton, would serve as the source of inspiration for The Blues Magoos’ 1966 garage/psychedelic smash “(We Ain’t Got) Nothin’ Yet.” This is the material upon which Rick Nelson’s legend and celebrated career was built.
