This release presents all existing music taped by the Cecil Taylor Trio live at Copenhagen’s Cafe Montmartre, some of which was included on the LPs "Live! At the Cafe Montmartre" (Debut [Denmark] DEB138), and "Nefertiti – The Beautiful One Has Come" (Fontana 888.609). These are the only recordings by this group with good sound quality and nearly the only preserved work by Taylor as a leader during 1962.

Following these LPs, the pianist wouldn’t record again until July of 1965. As a bonus, we have added the rest of Taylor’s recordings as a leader from 1962: three long tracks privately taped at Stockholm’s Golden Circle also in November. They present the same trio plus bassist Kurt Lindstrom and appear here on CD for the first time ever!!
