This quintessential vinyl release contains one of Checker’s finest albums, his magnificent second LP, For Twisters Only, which was originally issued by the Parkway label in 1960, and has been long unavailable on vinyl. This collection of classic numbers helped define the exact nature of early rock & roll. The original LP reached #8 on Billboard's Best 1960 albums. Despite its strong sales, the set has just one nationally charting song in the era, a cover of the Jerry Lee Lewis hit “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On” (#42).

In addition to the original masterpiece, this WaxTime collector’s edition also contains 2 bonus tracks from the same period, the joyous dance-floor stompers “Dance-A-Long” and “Let’s Dance, Let’s Dance, Let’s Dance”.
