Here´s Larry Williams
RHYTHM AND BLUES

INCLUDES 2 BONUS TRACKS
This quintessential vinyl edition contains Williams’ magnificent debut album, Here’s Larry Williams, which was originally released in 1959 on the Specialty label. This LP helped define the exact nature of early rock & roll. Williams wrote catchy tunes with clean, no-nonsense arrangements and occasional clever turns of phrase, and most of his hits featured rhymes on girls’ names. At the time, perhaps only Little Richard could have rivaled the raucous spirit of Larry Williams’ performances.
In addition to the original masterpiece, this WaxTime collector’s LP also contains 2 bonus tracks from the same period, the aforementioned “Bad Boy” and “Slow Down”. All of these recordings feature a virtual who’s who of great session men including Barney Kessel, Lee Allen, Earl Palmer, René Hall, Plas Johnson, Roy Montrell and Harold Battiste, among others.
