LIMITED EDITION OF 500 LPS

Originally issued in Germany in 1979 on Sandra Music Productions, this DOT-TIME release presents again this long out of print LP featuring marvelous duets by Chet Baker and German vibraphonist and percussionist Wolfgang Lackerschmid, who also contributes with the liner notes for the album. Among the highlights are poignant versions of "You Don't Know What Love Is" and "Softly as in a Morning Sunrise", as well as two versions of Lackerschmid's ballad "Why Shouldn't You Cry", one played by Chet with open trumpet, and the other with a mute.
