Originally issued in Germany in 1979 on Sandra Music Productions, this DOT-TIME release presents the companion volume to the also wonderful BALLADS FOR TWO (DT8012). This long out of print LP features marvelous quintet tracks by Chet Baker and German vibraphonist and percussionist Wolfgang Lackerschmid, who are backed here by such stars in their own merit as Larry Coryell on guitar, Buster Williams on bass, and Tony Williams on drums. The CD presents adds to the original album two PREVIOUSLY UNISSUED tracks: a rehearsal on "Rue Gregoire du Tour", and an alternative take of "Balzwaltz".
