Jazz keyboardist Roland Haynes made one album, 1975’s 2nd Wave. It featured drummer Carl Burnett and bassist Henry Franklin along with another keyboard player, Kirk Lightsey, whose wah-wah-fed Fender Rhodes faced-off with Haynes' playing. It’s high praise indeed to liken this album to Miles Davis’ ‘70s band that featured Keith Jarrett, Chick Correa, Herbie Hancock and Joe Zawinul - but high praise for 2nd Wave is necessary.
