Singer and songwriter Johnny Mathis, 85 years old at this writing, had several dozen of his LPs achieve gold or platinum status while 73 made the Billboard charts. Mathis received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and has been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame for three separate recordings.
