With his twanging guitar and quavering bel canto tenor, Roy Orbison created his trademark sound – a combination between snarling blues rock and his mainstay, the romantic/paranoiac ballad with falsetto crescendos and strings. This remastered CD includes Roy Orbison’s sensational third album, Crying. Originally released in 1962 by the Monument label, this is one of his finest works. It also helped to consolidate “The Big O” (Orbison’s nickname) as one of the all-time-great singers. The early Orbison production flourishes, with swooping strings and full vocal choruses, are also present, as exemplified in fabulous songs such as “Crying”, “Love Hurts”, and the epic smash hit “Running Scared”.

This quintessential collector’s edition also contains 12 bonus tracks, consisting of lesser-known singles and B-sides from the same period.
