This essential release presents two of Faron Young’s finest LPs from the peak of his career: the long unavailable masterpiece This is Faron Young! (1959), and the splendid Hello Walls (1961), which includes no less than six charting singles, among them the iconic title track penned by Willie Nelson. Originally released by Capitol Records, both sensational albums have been remastered and packaged together in this collector’s edition, which also contains 6 bonus tracks from the same period. A number of Young’s essential songs, including “If You Ain’t Lovin’ (You Ain’t Livin’),” “Riverboat,” Justin Tubb’s “Big Shoes,” Don Gibson’s “Sweet Dreams,” and #1 smashes like “Alone with You,” and Joe Allison’s aforementioned “Live Fast, Love Hard, Die Young,” are featured here, making this set a necessary addition to any country collection.
