All tracks were arranged and conducted by David Rose and recorded in Hollywood, California, 1962 (except track 1: in 1958).

This CD presents David Rose and his orchestra performing 24 tracks written by some of the finest composers in jazz and film music, such as Irving Berlin, Duke Ellington and Cole Porter, to name but a few. David Rose (London, 1910-Burbank, 1990) wrote "The Stripper" for a 1958 television show called "Burlesque", starring Dan Dailey but it was forgotten about until a LA radio DJ discovered it and played it constantly until it took off and went on to sell over 2 million copies! Besides writing the musical theme for "Bonanza", Rose worked on the late 1960s western series, "High Chaparral". He won a total of 4 Emmy Awards during the course of his career.
