Don Cherry

Don Cherry set aside his free jazz, post bop and free improvisation characterised by his '70s period to make a record of afro-funk fusion in Paris, 1985; the result was Home Boy, Sister Out. Paris by the mid-80s was in the midst of its cool swing with jazz, funk and new wave all co-mingling with African, Jamaican and Latin American sounds.
