Futuro Antico

Isole Del Suono is a collection of previously unreleased material by experimental world music Italian/African three-piece Futuro Antico. The trio’s differing personalities and approaches blend perfectly as one: electronic sonic textures, wind instruments, piano and tribal rhythms.

This record documents a live performance held in Piazza Santo Stefano in Bologna on July 17th, 1980 during the Isole del Suono (Sound Islands) experimental music festival. The sound was recorded on tape straight from the mixing console, which allowed for high-level audio quality.
