The first concert of Brötzmann / Van Hove / Bennink in East Germany, 04 November 1974, as part of the series Jazz in der Kammer, DT/ Berlin. This previously unreleased recording of the Berlin concert is among the group's best works; the nearly 14-minute "Schwarzspecht," which opens the recording, begins at zero, ,with Brötzmann roaring like a bear while Van Hove dashes around the keyboard as if searching for something he's sure he left there.
Recorded live on April 11, .1974, by Radio GDR at Deutsches Theater, Berlin
