3-CD BOX SET

The remarkable Charles Tolliver Big Band that roared into existence in 2003 with great critical acclaim had its stylistic and archival roots in the '70s with the seminal recordings contained in this set. The band's 1971 & 1975 albums on Strata-East are remastered on CD with additional material from a 1979 session with the celebrated NDR big band of Hamburg, Germany, which is released here for the first time.
