Here we have a reissue of the 1979 self-titled debut album from South Africa's Movement In The City. At the end of the 1970s Pops Mohamed, Basil Coetzee, and Sipho Gumede grew tired of their previous group Black Disco and hungered for something a little funkier.

Hence Movement In The City was born. The jazz fusion players pulled together elements of funk, soul , and jazz to create a soundtrack to life in the city. Out of print since its original release, this rare little gem has now been restored from the original master tapes.
